Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter or margarine, soft
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 125 g brown sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some butter-vanilla flavoring (a few drops)
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 175 g chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 125 g nuts (pecans, Brazil nuts, but also hazelnuts or walnuts)
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

For those with a sweet tooth

Combine the soft margarine, powdered sugar, and brown sugar in a bowl and beat until creamy. Add the egg with the vanilla extract and beat until foamy. Fold the flour, baking powder, and salt into the foam. Fold in the chocolate and nuts. Preheat oven to 190°C (gas mark 4). Drop the dough by the spoonful onto a greased baking sheet, leaving plenty of space between each pile. Bake the cookies in the oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then remove from the baking sheet and let them cool completely.
