Hazelnut muffins

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 125 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 150 g flour
  • 125 ml milk
  • 125 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 50 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1 bottle of rum flavoring or rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cream the butter (room temperature) with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Once these ingredients are well blended, stir in the flour and baking powder. While stirring continuously, add the milk until all ingredients form a smooth batter. Finally, add the hazelnuts (chopped and ground) and the rum flavoring or rum and stir vigorously again. Pour the batter into muffin cups lined with paper and bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
