Healthy low-fat whole-grain waffles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g whole wheat flour, preferably freshly ground
  • 1 egg(s)
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 ml milk, also works with vegan milk alternatives
  • some sweetener, optional
  • 100 ml mineral water
  • Coconut oil for greasing

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Enjoyment without a guilty conscience; does not stick to the waffle iron

Combine the flour (freshly ground) with egg, salt, milk, and sweetener, if desired. Add the baking powder and water and stir thoroughly again. The batter should have a nice, creamy consistency. Heat the waffle iron to high and grease with half a teaspoon of coconut oil. Pour a ladleful of batter into the waffle iron and bake each waffle for 2-3 minutes.
