Healthy whole-grain toast burger

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 slices of whole-grain toast
  • 2 patties (wholemeal patties), ready-made product, vegetarian or with meat as desired
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 1 slice(s) cheese
  • 1 m.-sized tomato(s)
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 3 lettuce leaves
  • Sauce, as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

in a vegetarian or meat-based way

Wash the lettuce, slice the onion and tomatoes, and set everything aside. Preheat the oven. Fry the patties, whether vegetarian or meat-based, and the fried egg in a pan with olive oil. Top one slice of toast with the patty, fried egg, and slice of cheese and place it in the oven at 150°C for about one minute to melt the cheese; place the other slice next to it. Once the cheese has melted, remove the toast from the oven. Add the lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and sauce to the same slice of toast and cover with the second slice of toast. I recommend serving this with homemade sweet potato fries and a homemade crème fraîche dip.
