Hearty Bean Salad

The perfect hearty bean salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Can Yellow or green beans
  • 1 size Onion
  • 250 gr Cube ham
  • 2 Eßl Oil
  • Savory
  • Parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Drain the can of beans (I took yellow ones) and drain, then put them in a bowl and if they are still too long, cut them into small pieces, cut the onion into small cubes and add to the beans, add the oil and savory (Only a small pinch of savory), salt and pepper to it. Sauté the cured ham in a pan (without fat, there is enough fat in the ham) and then pour it over the beans, mix everything well and season again, add a teaspoon of parsley and fold in. Let it steep for an hour, maybe a little longer. Serve well chilled. Since I don’t really like vinegar, I do without it – any way you want, just in advance.
