Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 pack butter (or margarine), soft
- 1 bunch parsley, chopped (alternatively frozen)
- 1 bunch of chives, chopped (alternatively frozen)
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- Salt
- pepper, black
- some curry powder
- some paprika powder
- Maggi, some dashes of it
- Lemon juice, a few dashes of
- 1 small onion(s) if needed
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Mash the softened butter or margarine with a fork in a deep plate. Peel the garlic, press it through a garlic press, and add it to the butter. Add the spices to taste. Season with a few dashes of Maggi and lemon juice. Stir the butter thoroughly between servings or mash it with a fork. Finally, mix the chopped or frozen herbs with the butter. Tips: If you like, you can also peel an onion, dice it, and fry it in a little fat until golden brown. Once the diced onions have cooled, mix them into the butter. You can also use a hand mixer instead of a fork. This makes the butter very light and fluffy, but this also makes the herbs very fine, which unfortunately spoils the look. This herb butter is a hit at parties, barbecues, and so on. I’m always asked for the recipe and have to bring this butter to every celebration. It’s truly addictive and also perfect for gratinating.
