Heike's quick lentil soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg potatoes
  • 1 can Lentils , with soup vegetables
  • Vegetable broth as needed
  • Mettwurst, quantity as desired
  • Maggi
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

First, peel and dice the potatoes. Then simmer the potatoes in broth for about 15 minutes. The broth should just cover the potatoes, but it’s better to add a little less broth than too much to prevent the soup from becoming too runny. Next, slice the Mettwurst and add it. Add the lentils and cook for about another 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and Maggi. You can also add sucuk to the soup instead of the Mettwurst.
