Heimi’s Applesauce Cake
The perfect heimi’s applesauce cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Covering
- 200 g Flour
- 50 Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 Msp Baking powder
- 750 g Apples
- 75 g Sugar
- 0,5 Cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 packet Custard powder

- 2 cups Sour cream
- 75 g Sugar
- 3 Egg yolk
- 3 Protein
- Cut out apples, peel and weigh to 750 g, bring to a boil with 200 ml of water, sugar, cinnamon stick and lemon juice and turn the temperature down, and simmer until they collapse. Then the apples are mashed to a pulp, preferably the day before.
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
- Make a shortcrust pastry from the ingredients and place in the refrigerator for 1/2 hour. Grease the cake tin and sprinkle with baking flour.
- In the meantime, heat the applesauce again and add 1 packet of pudding mixed with 3 tablespoons of milk to the apple puree. Boil.
- Line the mold with the dough, add the apple pulp and smooth it out, put it in the oven for 30 minutes.
- For the topping, the eggs are separated and the egg whites are cracked into snow. Put the sour cream, sugar and yolks in a bowl and stir well, then add the egg whites.
