Cake: Applesauce Sour Cream Cake

- 100 g Butter
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 200 g Sifted flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 500 g Applesauce
- 200 ml Cream
- 200 ml Sour cream
- 1 tsp Vanilla sugar
- 1 packet Cream stiffener
- 1 tsp Cinnamon sugar
- For the batter, stir the butter, which is at room temperature, with the sugar / vanilla sugar until frothy. Stir in the eggs one after the other for at least half a minute. Mix the flour and baking powder and pour over the egg mixture, stir in.
- Line a springform pan (26cm) with baking paper and fill in the batter. Bake at 190 ° C for about 30 minutes. Let cool down.
- Place the cooled cake on a cake plate and put the molding ring back around the cake. Spread the applesauce on the bottom. (I took my winter applesauce, see link below)
- Beat the cream with the cream stabilizer and vanilla sugar until very stiff. Beat the sour cream until smooth and mix with the cream. Spread everything on the apple sauce and sprinkle with a little cinnamon sugar.
- As you can see in the photos, I have a small apple pie. This time I increased the amount of dough by half and filled a 20-inch mold with it. Place three small apples and a tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of sliced almonds on top and bake with the other cake. The small apple pie takes about 10 minutes longer.
