Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 chickens (ready-to-cook roast chickens) each approx. 1 kg
  • pepper
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 3 tbsp butter, soft
  • 1 pack of mixed frozen herbs, approx. 25 g
  • 1 lemon(s), untreated, grated peel and juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Rinse the chicken thoroughly with cold water. Pat dry with kitchen paper. Rub the chicken inside and out with the spices and place on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the butter with the herbs, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Brush the chicken with this mixture and bake for another 10 minutes. Let the chicken rest in the turned-off oven for about 10 minutes before carving.
