Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g wheat flour
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp thyme, chopped
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) sea salt, coarse
  • possibly rosemary
  • possibly oregano

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

ideal for grilling

Knead the dough ingredients together and cover and let rise for about 1/2 hour. In the meantime, peel and finely chop the garlic cloves. Then mix the oil with the garlic, herbs, sea salt, and pepper. Divide the dough into 3 equal pieces and roll each out into thumb-thick, approximately 20 cm flatbreads. Place on a greased baking sheet and let rise for another 15 minutes. Spread the herb mixture over the flatbreads. Bake in a preheated oven at 210°C for about 10 to 15 minutes until crispy. Tip: Also delicious with other herb mixtures, such as rosemary and oregano.
