Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 30 g ginger
- 1 tbsp cardamom seeds
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 2 bay leaves
- 150 g sugar
- 250 g kumquat(s)
- Salt
- 250 ml water
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 2 days; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 2 days 45 minutes

Peel and chop the garlic and ginger. Bring to a boil with cardamom, fennel seeds, bay leaves, sugar, and salt in 1/4 liter of water. Add the kumquats and simmer for 15 minutes. Pour into jars and let steep for 2 days.
