Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 liter of cola, not “diet”, “light” or “zero”
- 1 liter orange juice with pulp
- 1 ½ kg tomato ketchup
- 200 ml whiskey
- 2 large onions
- 2 tbsp, heaped paprika powder, hot
- 10 jalapeño(s), pickled
- 2 tbsp broth from the pickled jalapeños
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions

Peel the onions and dice them into small cubes, but don’t chop them. Combine all ingredients, except the jalapeños, jalapeño liquid, and salt, in a large enough pot and bring to a boil for about 10 minutes. Stir regularly. Then simmer over medium heat for about 4 hours until the liquid has reduced by half. Stir occasionally and mix the liquid from the sides of the pot back into the sauce. Let the sauce cool for about 2 hours. Then stir in the jalapeños. Finally, season to taste with the jalapeño liquid and salt. This sauce is excellent, and not just with grilled food!
