Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 800 g potatoes
- 1 large onion(s)
- 70 g bacon
- oil
- salt and pepper
- marjoram
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Boil the potatoes until half cooked. This is important so that they don’t become mushy later and so that they become crispy. Peel them after cooking. If they are new potatoes, you can leave the skin on, cut them in half and cut them into half moons. Peel and dice the onion. Dice the bacon. Put oil in a large pan and heat it over a high heat. When the oil is hot, add the potatoes and swirl them around a bit. Reduce the heat to one level and fry the potatoes. After about 5 minutes, swirl again and fry the potatoes on the other side. When the potatoes are a nice light brown, season them and add the bacon. When the bacon is slightly crispy, add the onions and swirl them around again. When the onions are translucent or lightly browned, they are ready to serve.
