Homemade vanilla pudding

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 ml milk
  • 1 pack of Bourbon vanilla flavoring
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), including the pulp
  • 60 g vanilla sugar, preferably homemade
  • 2 eggs
  • 25 g cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Bring the milk to a boil with the flavoring and pulp. Beat the egg yolks and sugar for about 5 minutes until white and creamy, then add to the mixture. Briefly stir in the cornstarch on the lowest setting. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Whisk the egg foam into the vanilla milk and bring to a boil for about another minute while stirring. Pour the pudding into glasses or bowls while still hot and enjoy warm!
