Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g sugar (farin)
  • 250 g honey
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 125 g margarine
  • 1 pack of anise, whole
  • 1 tsp clove powder
  • 200 g almonds or nuts, chopped
  • 100 g candied lemon
  • 750 g flour
  • 300 ml milk
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • Fat, for the shape

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 2 days; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 days 2 hours

Melt the caster sugar, honey, and sugar in a saucepan, stirring constantly. Turn off the heat. Stir in the spices. Then alternately stir in the flour and milk. Finally, mix in the baking soda. Spread the batter into two greased pans, one large and one smaller, and bake at 175°C (350°F) top/bottom heat. Then, keep uncovered and refrigerated for two days, then store in a plastic bag. The bread will keep for many months.
