Honey-marinated fillet tips

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 beef fillets (fillet tips) 150 grams each
  • 75 ml honey
  • 1 tsp curry
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 50 ml soy sauce
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 200 g cream cheese for the sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

To make the marinade, whisk together all the ingredients except the cream cheese and the fillet tips. The marinade should be smooth and slightly thick. Trim the fillet tips; however, your trusted butcher can probably do this for you. Place the meat in a plastic bag with the marinade and mix well. Leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Then preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and cook the fillet pieces in the marinade for 25 minutes. Then cut the fillet into pieces about 2 centimeters in size. While it’s still hot, combine the remaining marinade with the cream cheese in the baking dish to make a sauce and immediately mix with the meat. Serve immediately.
