Horror punch for Halloween

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 handfuls of lychee(s)
  • e.g. Prosecco or white wine spritzer
  • Liqueur (raspberry or cherry liqueur)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 10 minutes

You’ll need a clear bowl and a rubber glove from your first-aid kit. The day before, pour as much liqueur into the glove as possible and seal it with a rubber band, making sure it’s as airtight as possible. Freeze in a convenient position or, if it’s cold enough, hang it outside with your fingers pointing down—that works best. Peel the lychees and remove a little of the white flesh at one end so you can see a bit of the pit: The whole thing should look like an eye. Or just use a can of lychees; it’s less effort but doesn’t look as scary. Just before your guests arrive, pour the Prosecco into the bowl, add the lychees, and carefully free your frozen hand from the rubber glove with scissors. Place your hand in the bowl; it will float to the top and slowly melt, turning the punch a light pink. It looks great and tastes delicious, delicious, delicious!
