Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1,000 ml milk
  • 100 g dark chocolate 70% cocoa
  • 30 g sugar
  • 4 tbsp whipped cream for decoration
  • Chocolate shavings for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Bring the milk to a boil with the scraped vanilla seeds and vanilla pod. Remove the vanilla pod, scrape off any remaining seeds, and add to the milk. Remove the milk from the heat. Break the chocolate into small pieces and stir into the milk along with the sugar. Dissolve completely. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs, garnish with a tablespoon of whipped cream and chocolate shavings, and serve.
