Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 package of puff pastry from the refrigerated section
  • 8 sausages for hot dogs
  • 3 slices of Edam cheese
  • 3 tbsp seasoning sauce (hot dog sauce)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp fried onions
  • 8 cucumber slices

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Roll out the puff pastry and arrange the sausages: 4 next to each other, then the remaining 4 on top. Brush the sausages with hot dog sauce and top with cheese. Top with cucumber slices and finally, the fried onions. Make diagonal slits in the excess pastry at regular intervals on both sides to form strips. Fold these strips alternately over the filling, then seal the ends. Brush with beaten egg. Bake at 190°C (fan oven) for 20 minutes.
