the cold remedy

First, peel the ginger and add it to the cup. I just cut off 3-4 thin slices. Then boil the water and add it to the cup, making sure there’s still enough lemon juice. Let the water cool down to at least 60°C, otherwise the lemon’s vitamins will be lost! Finally, add the lemon and turmeric and stir. This vitamin bomb is perfect for fighting colds. The lemon’s vitamin C, together with the curcumin, strengthens the immune system and protects the throat from the multiplication of cold-causing bacteria. The ginger not only adds flavor, but also helps with headaches and nausea, and warms you up. This drink can therefore be used preventatively, but also helps you get back on your feet quickly if you already have a cold!
