Hot orange milk

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 organic orange(s)
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • ½ cinnamon stick(s)
  • 1 tsp honey, liquid
  • 2 cl Grand Marnier, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Halve the orange, cut off a thin slice for decoration, and then cut the peel whole from one half and grate the zest from the other half. Enjoy the rest of the orange. Press the cardamom pods and add them, along with the orange peel, cinnamon stick, and zest, to the milk and bring to a boil. Simmer gently for two minutes, add the honey, remove the orange peel, and then let cool slightly. Pour the Grand Marni into a glass or cup (if you have children, of course not). Stick an orange slice around the rim and pour over the milk. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon powder.
