Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 3 cm ginger, fresh
- 3 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick(s)
- 150 g sugar
- 1 liter dry white wine
- 250 ml water
- 2 lemons, juice
- 500 ml orange juice
- 250 ml white rum
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
makes approx. 2 liters
Peel the ginger and slice it thinly. Heat the ginger, spices, sugar, wine, and water for about 10 minutes. Then add the lemon and orange juice to the mixture. Keep it hot for another 15 minutes. Pour the punch through a sieve into a large enough container. Add the rum, stir, and serve. Keep the finished punch warm on a teapot warmer.
