Hungarian Tree Cake
The perfect hungarian tree cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Yeast dough
- 100 ml. Milk
- 70 g Butter
- 1 tbsp Heaped sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 20 g Yeast fresh
- 360 g Flour
Besides that
- Sugar
- Cinnamon sugar
Yeast dough
- Heat the milk with the butter, salt and sugar lukewarm, dissolve the yeast in it, add the flour and eggs and knead into a dough. Cover the yeast dough and let rise for about an hour.
- Sprinkle sugar well on the worktop and roll half of the dough into a roll and wrap it around an oiled rolling pin. Then roll the rolling pin back and forth so that it becomes flat. Do the same with the rest of the dough, using small foam rolls
- Bake at 180 degrees, fan-assisted, for 25 minutes, taking out the small ones 5 minutes beforehand. Roll it in cinnamon and sugar while it is still hot and enjoy.
- 4th tip: You can put the rolling pin in cold water for 10 minutes, so it doesn’t burn or get darker.
