Potato Tree Cake

The perfect potato tree cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1000 g Potatoes cooked floury
  • 6 Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Flour or cornstarch
  • 100 g Butter
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • Black pepper and nutmeg
  1. Peel the potatoes quarterly and boil them with 1 teaspoon of salt until they are soft, drain and allow to evaporate. Then beat with the butter and egg yolks. Season and fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
  2. Line a rectangular casserole dish about 20×30 cm with baking paper. Then spread a layer of the potato mixture and brown in the oven at 200 degrees with grill function for 4 minutes. Then apply the next layer and continue so until the potato mixture is used up.
  3. Then overturn the rectangle and cut it into squares or rectangles with a sharp knife. Goes well with meat as a side dish or as a snack or snack with a dip. It is a bit of an effort but it is definitely worth it.
