Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, diced
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 bread roll, from the day before, soaked
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • n. B. Caraway
  • 1 small head of white cabbage
  • 1 liter of broth

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Recipe from my grandma

Combine the minced meat with the egg, the squeezed bread roll, the onion, and garlic, and season with mustard, salt, and pepper. Finely grate the cabbage. Line the bottom of a pot with half of the cabbage and add the meat mixture. Cover with the remaining cabbage, season with caraway seeds if desired, and top with the broth. Bring to a boil and simmer, covered, on low heat for about 30 minutes. We always serve this with boiled potatoes.
