Hussar Donuts
The perfect hussar donuts recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 210 g Spelled flour
- 70 g Sugar
- 140 g Ice cold butter
- 2 Egg yolk
- Lemon zest
- Jam as desired to fill
- Powdered sugar
- Make kneading dough from flour, sugar, butter, egg yolk and lemon zest and chill for an hour
- Shape the dough into balls, place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and press a recess in the middle (this is best done with the handle of a wooden spoon)
- Pour the jam into the recess according to your taste and bake at 175 degrees circulating air for about 15 – 20 minutes. Let cool on a cake rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar
