Iced coffee grandma's way

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 40 g coffee powder, freshly ground
  • 750 ml water, boiling
  • 250 g ice cream (vanilla ice cream)
  • 250 ml whipped cream for decoration
  • e.g. chocolate, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 15 minutes

Pour boiling water over the ground coffee, stirring frequently. Let the coffee steep for 4-6 minutes, then pour through a filter or sieve and chill if possible (keep lukewarm in the refrigerator!). Fill glasses two-thirds full with the cooled coffee, top with vanilla ice cream, and generously drizzle with whipped cream. Sprinkle with grated chocolate, if desired.
