Iced tea for children

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 bags of fruit tea (apple tea)
  • 2 bags of peppermint tea
  • 1 tbsp rock candy (crumb candy)
  • 250 ml apple juice
  • 2 lemons or limes
  • 30 ice cubes
  • some mint leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Squeeze a lemon and collect the juice. Place 20 ice cubes in a pitcher, suspend the tea bags, add the sugar, pour 1 liter of boiling water over them, and let steep for 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags. Add the lemon juice and apple juice and let stand to cool further or refrigerate. Fill the glasses with 2-3 ice cubes, top with mint leaves and 1-2 lemon slices, and pour the cold tea over them. It tastes delicious—we have it all the time in the summer. For “grown-up” children, you can also prepare the tea with black tea (instead of apple tea). If you don’t want to wait long for it to cool, you can increase the number of ice cubes in the pitcher and reduce the amount of water accordingly.
