Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
WW-suitable and low in fat
This apple strudel is suitable for a low-fat diet! If desired, 30g of melted butter or margarine can be kneaded into the dough! Sift flour onto a work surface, make a well, and lightly drizzle 1 teaspoon of oil onto the flour. Add salt and egg yolk to the well and beat with 1 tablespoon of lukewarm water. Slowly, starting in the center, mix the flour into the ingredients with a fork. Gradually add the water a spoonful at a time and knead into a dough. Be sure to let the dough rest in a damp cloth for 1 hour! In the meantime, peel, core, and dice the apples. Mix with the raisins and cinnamon sugar or vanilla sugar and simmer gently with a little water and honey for 10 minutes. I simmered the raisins with the flour to soften them! Once the dough has become very soft after the resting time, roll it out thinly on a floured surface—more like a rectangle. It’s best to flatten it out again on a floured cloth, as the dough tends to shrink a little! Brush the surface with a little oil! Now place the stewed apples in the middle of the dough and spread it out evenly! Not quite to the edges! Fold the free areas to the right and left of the dough slightly over the filling! (Prevents it from leaking out) Now roll up the dough from the long side! Brush the end of the dough with water and press it firmly onto the roll! Beat the remaining egg yolk and a little water and brush the roll. Bake in a preheated oven for around 35 minutes at 180 degrees! WW per portion 2.5 P with raisins and honey. Sugar and honey may have a daily allowance, then 2.0 P per portion!
