Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g gnocchi (refrigerated section)
  • 1 can of tomato sauce (500 ml)
  • 1 can of corn (200 g)
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • some salt
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 1 pkt. pizza dough (refrigerated shelf, XL)
  • 125g mozzarella
  • n. B. Cheese (e.g. Cheddar, Gouda or Edam), grated
  • 10 basil leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Place the gnocchi in plenty of salted water and cook according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, place the tomato sauce in a saucepan and simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes. Add the spices and corn and mix everything well. Once the gnocchi are cooked, add them to the sauce and let everything simmer gently until the sauce has reached a creamy consistency so that it doesn’t run off the pizza base. Preheat the oven to 200-220°C (top/bottom heat) (depending on the package instructions). Place the pizza base on a baking sheet and spread the sauce evenly over it. Slice the mozzarella and spread it on the pizza. Optionally, you can also sprinkle generously with grated cheese such as Cheddar, Gouda, or Edam. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. Once the baking time is over, scatter the fresh basil on the pizza.
