- 50 g sugar

Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa, eggs, baking powder, vanilla sugar, Jack Daniel’s, and sunflower oil to form a smooth batter. If you don’t like the taste of whiskey, you can use just half a cup and replace the rest with milk for a milder cake. Bake the cake in the oven at 180°C for about 25 minutes. For the cream, split the vanilla pod lengthwise. Scrape out the seeds and add them to the milk, along with the pod. Heat the milk; do not boil, but keep it hot. Mix the egg yolks with 3/4 of the sugar in a saucepan and beat until frothy. Mix the flour and cornstarch and stir in vigorously. Add the hot milk, stirring constantly. Place the pan on the stove and bring the cream to a boil once, stirring constantly, until it thickens. Remove the vanilla pod. Whip the cream with the remaining sugar until stiff peaks and fold into the vanilla cream. Once the cake has cooled, spread the vanilla cream on the cake using a cake ring.
