Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 250 g butter
  • 4 m.-sized eggs
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 bottle of vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp chocolate sprinkles
  • 150 ml Jägermeister
  • 1 packet of powdered sugar
  • n. B. Jägermeister

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Mix together the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Separate the eggs and add the egg yolks and vanilla essence to the mixture. Stir the cinnamon and cocoa into the mixture. Mix the flour with the baking powder and slowly add it together with the Jägermeister (approx. 150 ml). Beat the egg whites until fluffy and fold in together with the chocolate sprinkles. Spread the batter on a baking tray and bake in the oven at 175°C (convection oven) on the middle rack for 20 minutes. Allow the cake to cool. Mix the icing sugar with the Jägermeister, using only a little Jägermeister (approx. 2 tbsp) to create a sticky mixture. Spread the icing on the cake and decorate if desired.
