Jam Mix
The perfect jam mix recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Black currants
- 650 g Rhubarb
- 100 g Banana
- 1 packet Preserving sugar 2: 1
- Remove stems and flowers from black currants and wash thoroughly.
- Peel the rhubarb and cut into pieces about 1 cm wide. I still had some (my own harvest) in the freezer, it was already prepared.
- Peel the banana and cut into pieces. The ratio of the fruits is specially chosen because the currants are very dominant.
- Mix and put everything in a sufficiently large saucepan, mix with the preserving sugar and leave to juice for about an hour.
- Now bring to a boil. Chop the fruits with a blender. Bring to the boil again for approx. 4 minutes. I like it when there are still bits in it.
- Pour everything hot into clean jars prepared for this purpose, close and let cool upside down.
- Very tasty for breakfast!
