Ingredients

  • 1 l Quince juice
  • 1 Pck. Preserving sugar 2: 1
  • 1 Pck. Citric acid

Instructions

  • Quince jelly ... just delicious ... I've been familiar with it since I was a child and I just love it, especially on a fresh bread roll with butter .... This year I got 30kg quince from an old neighbor ... something do with it? So first I threw 3x 5 kg quinces into the juicer. Made 2.25 liters of juice for every 5 kg of quince. I cooked one portion today as a simple quince jelly. Everything else frozen by the liter. That is then processed one after the other by me and my neighbor 😀

preparation

  • Mix the juice and preserving sugar in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Cook for another 3 minutes. If the gelling test (let the jelly drip from the wooden spoon ...) does not succeed, mix in a packet of citric acid. Pour the whole thing into jars rinsed with hot water and close tightly with the lids previously swiveled with rum or schnapps.
