Jam: Grapefruit Jelly

The perfect jam: grapefruit jelly recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 6 Grapefruit fresh
  • 1 Grapefruit unsprayed
  • 0,5 kg Preserving sugar 2: 1
  • 75 ml Orange liqueur
  1. I had bought cheap grapefruit for juicing and used it to make jelly. To do this, halve the grapefruits and squeeze out. Pour the juice through a sieve to avoid stones in the juice. I gained 750 ml of juice from it. Thoroughly wash the unsprayed grapefruit again and remove the peel with a zest.
  2. Then peel and fillet the grapefruit. Cut the fillets into small pieces. Mix juice, zest and sugar in a saucepan and add the orange liqueur. Bring to the boil and let it simmer for 4 minutes. After 2 minutes add the grapfruit fillets.
  3. After the cooking time, make a gelling test and then pour the jelly into jars that have been rinsed with hot water, close and turn upside down for 5 minutes. The amount gave me 7 small glasses of 200 ml each.
