Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 750 g meat, shredded, seasoned gyros style
- 1 large onion(s)
- 4 bell peppers, red, green, yellow and orange
- 2 bags of rice (10-minute rice)
- 150 g sour cream
- Oil for frying
- salt and pepper
- garlic powder
- e.g. parsley, chopped, fresh
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Wash and trim the bell peppers, then cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel the onion and slice it into half rings. Meanwhile, cook the rice and drain. Heat oil in a large pan and fry the meat until cooked through. Then remove and set aside. Add a little more oil to the pan and fry the onions and bell peppers for about 10 minutes. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir in the cooked rice. Add the meat back in and heat through. Finally, stir in the sour cream and serve sprinkled with parsley.
