Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 ml milk
  • 50 g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 4 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 125 g butter
  • 100 g desiccated coconut
  • 50 ml milk
  • 250 g sugar, brown

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Heat the milk and fat and remove from the heat. Meanwhile, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar until the sugar has dissolved. Sift in the flour and baking powder. Add the milk-fat mixture and mix briefly. Pour the batter into a greased drip tray. Bake in a preheated oven on the second rack from the bottom at 200°C (top/bottom heat) or 180°C (fan oven) for about 20 minutes. Heat the butter, desiccated coconut, milk, and sugar. Spread evenly over the baked cake and bake for another 5-8 minutes at 225°C (top/bottom heat) or 200°C (fan oven).
