Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of boneless smoked pork
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 stalk(s) leeks
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 200 g mushrooms, fresh small
  • ¼ liter wine, white, dry
  • salt and pepper
  • 100 g cheese (grated Emmental)
  • marjoram

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Fry the smoked pork slices on both sides in hot oil. Then remove and keep warm. Melt the butter or margarine in the pan juices. Peel and dice the onion, slice the cleaned leek into rings, and dice the bell pepper (removing any seeds and white parts). Clean the mushrooms thoroughly, but do not chop them. Sauté the vegetables in the butter or margarine, deglaze with the wine, and sauté for about 3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and marjoram. Place the smoked pork slices in a greased dish, scattering the vegetables around the edges. Sprinkle everything with grated cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (425°F) until the cheese has melted. Serve with duchess potatoes and endive salad, or white bread with herb butter and a green salad.
