Kasseler with cream cheese sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 700 g smoked salmon
  • 200 g herb cream cheese
  • 250 ml cream
  • 3 sprigs of oregano
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Cut the smoked pork into approximately 2 cm thick slices, sear in a pan, and place in a casserole dish. In the pan, bring the pan juices to a boil with the cream and melt the cream cheese. Bring to a boil once and season with salt (carefully!) and plenty of pepper. Stir in the chopped oregano. Pour the sauce over the meat and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for approximately 30 minutes.
