Ingredients
- 60 g Rye bread or rolls
- 1 Medium onion
- 1 Medium apple, approx. 200 g, e.g. Gala
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 150 g Double cream cheese
- 1 kg Kassler, released
- 2 tbsp Lard
- 2 tbsp Butter
- Pepper from the grinder
Instructions
- Cut or crumble the rye bread into very small cubes. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes. Roughly grate the apple (with the peel) and mix with lemon juice.
- Mix all these ingredients with the cream cheese and season with pepper.
- Cut the Kassler into approx. 8 slices, heat the lard and fry the Kassler slices briefly but vigorously, then place in a baking dish. Deglaze the roast with approx. 150 m water, bring to the boil briefly and pour over the Kassler.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on the Kassler and press down a little. Put the butter in flakes on the mass and off ... in the preheated oven. 225 ° C (circulating air approx. 180 - 200 ° C) for approx. 25 min.
- I had mashed potatoes and lettuce as side dishes.
