Kati's hot chocolate

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g chocolate, whole milk
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 100 ml sweet cream
  • 8 marshmallows
  • 2 tsp candy (colored chocolate chips)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Great for kids

Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt it with the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Mix well and bring to a boil. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form (or simply use ready-made whipped cream). Pour the hot chocolate into 4 heatproof glasses and top each with a large dollop of cream. Garnish with marshmallows and chocolate chips. Serve immediately, or the chips will melt. It’s best to serve with a bar spoon. Can also be refrigerated before filling and served cold on hot days. Variation for adults: Stir in 2 tablespoons of whiskey and replace the marshmallows with a scoop of ice cream.
