Kebab on a skewer

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 kg beef, chicken, or lamb, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp garlic, squeezed
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 450 g milk
  • 120 g Parmesan
  • 120 g mozzarella, grated
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 bell peppers

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Place 1/2 of an onion cut-side down on a baking sheet, wrapping a stainless steel ring around it for stability. Insert a wooden skewer through the center of the onion. Marinate the meat with salt, pepper, crushed garlic, oil, and Worcestershire sauce, then layer it on the skewer. Finally, place the other half of the onion on the skewer and wrap it in aluminum foil. Spread the onions, peppers, or other vegetables on the sheet. Cook at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for approximately 1-1.5 hours. For the sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan. Combine the flour, milk, salt, pepper, Parmesan, and grated mozzarella cheese in the butter. Cut the meat from the skewer and place it on a baguette or white bread with the vegetables and sauce.
