Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg flour
- 1 cube of yeast
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 120 ml milk, warm
- 1 tbsp, leveled salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 tbsp curd
- 2 tbsp clarified butter, melted
- 1 handful of raisins
- Flour for the work surface
- some powdered sugar for dusting
- Vegetable fat for frying, 1 kg
- e.g. milk
- some oil to work with
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
When pulled out, makes about 20 pieces.
Sift the flour into a bowl and crumble the yeast over it. Add the sugar. Heat the cup of milk to lukewarm and pour it into the bowl. Then the yeast needs to prove with the milk and flour for a few minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and mix. Add more milk as needed until the dough is smooth. Then stir in the raisins, cover the dough and let it rest. Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan. Place a smaller saucepan with a sieve next to it to drain. Divide the dough into egg-sized pieces and place on a floured cloth. Dip your fingertips in a little oil and then form the dough pieces into strips, place them in the oil and fry until golden brown. Drain and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
