King prawns in butter and garlic sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g prawn(s) (king prawns, frozen), peeled
  • 150 g butter
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 10 garlic cloves, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Thaw the prawns slowly in the refrigerator for about 24 hours before preparation. Once thawed, remove the intestines if necessary. Rinse thoroughly under cold running water and dry well. Remove the tails, if desired, or leave them on. Evenly grease a large baking dish with butter. Take the butter out of the refrigerator some time in advance so it is much easier to work with. Cut the fresh garlic into small, approximately 3 mm pieces (do not press them all the way through) and spread evenly over the butter in the dish. Now place the prawns next to each other in the dish. Cook for about 25 minutes in a preheated oven at 150°C. Serve in the dish, drizzle with fresh lemon juice beforehand, if desired. I recommend baguette as a side dish; it’s a great way to soak up the butter and garlic sauce.
