Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 500 g flour
  • 3 m.-sized eggs
  • 1 lemon(s), grated peel
  • 175 g sugar
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • 1 tsp ammonium bicarbonate
  • frying fat
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 44 minutes

for approx. 50 pieces

Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, then add the remaining ingredients. Chill the dough for about 1 hour, then knead and roll out thinly. Using a pastry wheel, cut out long rectangles or diamonds measuring approximately 8 x 4 cm. Slit the center and pull one end through the slit, ensuring the tip is facing the same direction. Bake the dough pieces in hot oil for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Place on kitchen paper to drain. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm.
