Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 1 packet of yeast (dry yeast)
- 250 ml milk, warm
- 5 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp oil
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Oil for frying
- Flour for rolling out

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Stir the yeast, sugar, and oil into the warm milk. Pour the mixture into the flour. Knead the dough thoroughly. Place it in a pot, cover with a cloth and lid, and let it sit in a warm place for 60-70 minutes. Knead the dough thoroughly again and roll it out on a thin layer of flour to a thickness of about 2 mm. Then cut into 2 cm x 2 cm squares. Deep-fry the pieces in hot oil in batches until golden brown. Turn frequently and do not let them overcook, as otherwise they will become too dry and hollow inside. After removing from the oven, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve while still warm.
