Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

delicious, crispy side dish

Mix the garlic (crushed or finely diced, depending on your religious beliefs) with the oil, salt, and pepper and let stand for a while. Cut the baguette into approximately 1.5 cm thick slices and drizzle with the oil. Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in a cold oven. Set the oven to 250°C and toast for 10-15 minutes. By placing the baguette slices in a cold oven, the risk of burning is much lower. The slices can be served with pan-fried meat and are delicious with all Mediterranean dishes. After 12 minutes, they will have optimal crispness without being too dark or hard.
