Kölln Waffles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 m.-sized eggs
  • 100 g flour
  • 100 g oat flakes (Kölln Instant Flakes)
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 lemon peel, grated from an untreated lemon
  • 1 tbsp rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Waffles with Kölln Instant Flakes, makes 8 – 10 waffles

Combine flour, instant corn flakes, and baking powder. Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs. Slowly add the flour mixture to the batter. Add the milk, lemon zest, and rum. Grease the waffle iron and bake the waffles. Each waffle should bake for approximately 4 minutes.
