- 2 sausages (Krupniok), in one piece

- Olive oil, for frying

Halve the onion and slice into strips. Fry the krupniok in a pan with a little olive oil over medium heat until the krupniok pop open. Serve with mashed potatoes and applesauce or sauerkraut and boiled potatoes. Grilling variation: Drizzle each krupniok with oil along with half a sliced onion and wrap in aluminum foil. Then place on the hot grill for about 30 minutes.
